Terms and cancellation policy
Plain-English terms covering deposits, revisions, care plans, and cancellation. Read before paying your deposit — you'll be asked to confirm you've read this.
Cancellation Policy
1- Our promise
Before the details, here is what we promise regardless of how things end:
✅ Your domain (your web address) stays with you. We never hold it hostage, even if there is a payment dispute.
✅ You can cancel at any time. There is no minimum contract.
✅ We give you a full handover, not a vague exit. You will receive your logins, files, and a walkthrough video.
✅ We tell you in advance what cancelling will cost you (if anything) so you can decide with full information.
2- How to cancel Care Plans
Send a written message to robbuildswebs@gmail.com stating that you want to cancel. A verbal cancellation over phone is not enough on its own — we will ask you to confirm in writing.
Standard notice period: 30 days from the date you send the written notice. During this period your care plan stays active and we keep doing the work agreed in your plan.
Want to skip the 30 days? You can. Your final monthly payment is non-refundable, but we will close everything down immediately instead of waiting 30 days. Just say which you would prefer.
3- What stays with you no matter what
These things are already in your name and remain yours when you leave.

4. What happens to your website
This is the part that needs the most attention. Your website was built on Framer — a professional website platform we use to deliver high-quality, fast-loading sites.
While you are on a care plan, the Framer hosting cost is included in your monthly fee. When you cancel, that cost is no longer covered by us, and you have a choice to make.
Option A
Take it over yourself
We transfer the project to a framer account in your name.
Cost: Framer Basic at £10/month (annual billing) paid directly to Framer. Required to keep your custom domain connected.
Option B
Free Framer tier
Accept the transfer without a paid plan.
Your custom domain stops pointing to the site. Site stays reachable via a free Framer subdomain. You'd need to update marketing, Instagram, and Google to point to the new address.
Option C
Walk away entirely
Close the project on our end.
Your domain stays registered in your name (you can point it elsewhere later). You owe us nothing further beyond any outstanding payments.
If you choose Option B, we'll send you a free written guide on how to reconnect your domain to Framer if you ever decide to upgrade later.
5. The timeline — what happens day by day
Once we receive your written cancellation:

Care plan continues as normal. We prepare your handover materials.
Days 20–25
We initiate your chosen exit option. For A or B, we send the Framer transfer email.
Day 30
Final monthly payment taken (if applicable). Care plan ends. Handover complete.
Day 30+
If you haven't accepted the transfer, your domain stays yours but the site may go offline or revert to a free Framer subdomain.
6. What ongoing costs you may inherit
Recurring costs you may need to pay directly to third parties after cancellation. We do not receive any of this money — it goes directly to the provider.

7. If payment fails
Sometimes a card expires, a bank issue causes a payment to fail, or a card simply gets blocked. If that happens, we do not abruptly cut you off. Here is what happens instead:
Day 1
Stripe automatically retries and emails you.
Day 4
We contact you regarding the outstanding payment.
Day 14
If unresolved, we pause the care plan and the site is temporarily frozen.
Day 30
If still unresolved, the site goes offline. Your domain remains in your name.
At no point do we take your domain, withhold your files, or refuse to talk. If you're struggling, just tell us — we'd prefer to find an alternative.
8. Cancelling during the free care plan trial
Every package includes a free care plan trial: 1 month for Starter, 2 months for Standard, 3 months for Growth. You can cancel any time during the trial with no charge — the site is transferred to you and the cancellation process runs as above.
Seven days before your trial ends, you'll get a personal message reminding you that paid billing is about to start. After paid billing begins, the standard 30-day notice applies.
9. Cancelling a project before it goes live
If you've paid your 50% deposit but the project hasn't yet gone live, you can still cancel — but the deposit is non-refundable. It covers the planning and initial build time already invested.
If we cancel a project (e.g. you haven't provided the brief within 30 days), the deposit is also forfeited. This protects us against open-ended projects that block our schedule.
10. Honest disclosures
Framer Affiliate Program
BookingFix may participate in the Framer Affiliate Program. If you choose Option A and activate your own Framer Site Plan, we may receive a small share of Framer's revenue. This does not increase what you pay Framer.
Domain Regristation
We register your domain through our partner registrar account. The domain is in your legal name from day one, but we hold the admin contact to manage it for you. On exit, we transfer admin control to you within 7 working days at no charge.
Third-party Platforms
We use trusted third-party tools (Framer, Square, Google, Stripe). Their pricing, features, and availability are outside our control. If any of them changes a policy that affects you, we'll let you know as soon as we know.
11. Edge cases and special situations
If you are mid-build when you cancel
See Section 9. Deposit is forfeited; no further payment is owed.
If you're unhappy with the build
Your package includes revisions (1 / 2 / 3 by tier). Additional revisions are £45 each. Cancelling does not entitle you to a refund of the deposit.
If we're in a payment dispute
Your domain remains in your name. We do not use the domain as leverage. We may pause or take offline the site we host on your behalf until the dispute is resolved.
If we cease trading
We commit to: transferring all client domains to client-owned registrar accounts within 14 days; providing exported site files where technically possible; and giving 30 days written notice before any service is withdrawn.
12. Acceptance
By paying your deposit, you confirm you have read and agreed to this policy, which forms part of our Terms of Service. We send you a copy of the version in force on the day you paid, so there's no confusion about which version applies.
If we update this policy later, existing clients remain covered by the version they agreed to until their next renewal or new project, whichever is sooner.
